ʘ‿ʘ

It’s a quiet Monday as not many people in the office.

It’s an oppurtunity to browse through all the websites I feel like to without worrying the sudden appearance of my colleague from behind me.

And hopefully nobody notices me blogging. ;)

I’ll be hitting the big three-O next year and OH…  mentioning the number makes me feel so old….
I can’t believe that I’ll be 29 in a few days time.. tsk..

wOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOooooOOOOOooo (the cry of sadness similar to the tarzan yell- calling his ape friends). haha! okay. I am truly sad but I don’t fall into gerascophobic (fear of getting old) category.

But these cartoons make me feel young and funny and happy and gleeeeeeeeeeful. They make me forget about my age. And I am so gonna watch cartoons eventhough when I’ve already reached the age of 78 years old! ngeh ngeh!

Updates

extra curricular activity

I don’t do the comeyshop business anymore cos it’s not that profitable. I was too kind that I gave discounts to almost everyone + free postage!!

And.. I only charged RM2 extra from the original price. The maximum I can go was RM5, top! With all the GENEROSITY in me,  you tell me how could I make money out of the business?

health, skin care??

I am eating a bit healthily now. Yes, A BIT. I make sure I take a very moderate portion for each meal. Being me, it’s normal to break the rules and ABNORMAL if I stick to them. In fact, I just had seafood spaghetti + classic choc cake with vanilla ice cream (the name itself makes me drooling and want to have even more) during lunch *sigh*.

The proudest part is… everyday I take stairs instead of elevator to/from the basement park to/from the office ground floor. Then take elevator to the office (it’s on 9th floor okay?). It’s not much, but it’s something and I would say it’s an achievement! (blegh!)

I no longer use the Australia’s beauty and the bees products. I ordered 2 items, paid more than RM200 and somehow the package went missing (GRRRR!!). The OZ site was really helpful with follow-ups and etc. When asked Malaysia site, they know nothing! (GRRRR!!BOOOO!!SHAME ON YOU!!)

So now I am back to my old skin care products.

$$$

Suffice to say I am still a BIG spender. But I am improving though to becoming a really WISE spender – because I am on a tight budget at the moment. *GULP*

Books and movies

I just finished reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid – The Last Straw and by far the funniest from the 1st and 2nd series.

I have a stack of new books yet to read. Need more time. Or maybe I should spend less time on useless activities (eg: reading other ppl twitter and  gossips, watching MTV sweet 16 and MTV teen cribs, laughing over people who auditioned mentor on TV3) :P

I watched lots of Movies but the most I remember are Everybody’s Fine (I cried watching this) and Ketika Cinta Bertasbih.

Etc

my heart melts (like the melting choc and ice cream pic below. muahaha!) every time I see this guy. Nephew of mine.

This is the EXACT cake I had during lunch. Take that bebeh!!

Below pic is not related to any of today’s post. I stumbled upon this weird dessert on the internet.

hmmm?? LOL!  I don’t want to tell what I am thinking.

Okay. Time to stop . I want to watch Sumpah Bunian (dload).  *blush-blush* First few episodes I didn’t see much but got hooked in the middle bila one of the wives sangat jahat and the other is too good to be true. hahaha! Suddenly I am a soap opera fan. :P Full stop. before I talk more crappies.

Eeeekkk!!

You know what’s with that sound?

I was browsing my fb photos and found this pic..

The picture was taken sometime back in Jan 2008

and today is already mid Mac, 2010.

The sandals I put on that day really caught my eyes.

I can’t believe  that I am still wearing the same old sandals until now.  (and I can’t believe I am writing an entry about sandals :| )

I have been wearing them almost every day for 2 years!

I put that on to every single place I go!

This is truly a RECORD. *sport shoes are different. They are meant to last forever especially for a not-so-sportive person like me.

No wonder now, they look too worn out, shabby, exhausted, dull and old.

The worst part is, when the sandals gets damp from water or rain, they emit stinky, smelly odor. EEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!

Honestly, I don’t really mind putting them on. The sandals are still comfortable as ever.  And they only stink when they are wet or damp.

But I have to be fair to others. Especially to my cubicles neighbors.

I don’t want to pollute the already polluted air with my unpleasant damp-sandals odor.

Sorry neighbors. :(

It is time. To shop till I drop get. NEW, comfortable shoes.

That will only happens when the salary is in. See? I am a wise spender now ;) … err.. that is after I’ve made a BIG FAT purchase on ’something’.

I am guilty as charged. Others are at war fighting for their lives, over food and I am babbling about sandals??

Okay, please do good to others. Don’t forget to help the unfortunate ones. The least u could do is pray for them. Don’t be stingy. Money is not everything. It’s all temporary.

Hope the message compensated this selfish entry.

Gotta live like we’re dying

Saving every beautiful moment here.

Kris Allen sings:

………………

You never know a good thing till it’s gone
You never see a crash till it’s head on….

Yeah, we gotta start
Looking at the hands of the time we’ve been given
If this is all we got and we gotta start thinking
If every second counts on a clock that’s ticking
Gotta live like we’re dying
……
We only got 86,400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell them that we love them
While we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we’re dying

Like we’re dying, oh, like we’re dying..

Soul searching.. still

I know.

It was a loooooong absence. I wasn’t that busy or lazy.

I don’t think my xplanation is important here.

Anyway… You all dah ke BELUM?  I dah :)

Here  are some pics I would like to share with the nature lovers.

It was a total great experience – visiting kampung orang asli, hiking a forest trails to meet the rafflesia, another hiking up to the breathtaking waterfalls and soothing streams. Subhanallah!

The hiking and the boat ride were tiring, but worth it!

The hiking is not really recommended to the oldies and toddlers though cos it’s quite steep and long trails (approximately 10-15 minutes or more).

I love you too mama!

and you too, my husband!

and to those who want my love!

Kami suka berjongket

Last few weeks me and husband, sometimes accompanied by my sis and bro asyik berjongket je (in english, jongket means hang out/wandering around) and we discovered a lot of new and interesting places. The places are not really new but they are new to us.

secretgardenThe secret garden, located at the rooftop (UR floor) of One Utama. Recommended to photographers who like to capture flowers and green stuff.

wallclimbing-oneUIndoor wall climbing gym. We all didn’t wear proper attire that day so didn’t get a chance to try it out.

I don’t have that strong stamina and I am sure  I’ll be out of breath in less than a minute if I did the climbing.

Pic taken from camp5. There is a similar gym in Putrajaya and I’ve been told it’s for the experts.

drift

Serdang Menjerit!!! (jerit ala-ala kl menjerit).  This is the drift place which is held at MARDI Serdang, every Sat 5pm till late nite.

Cahaya putih yang besar dan lagi bulat dan berterangan dan glaring dan bright itu bukan lah cahaya keimanan.. cahaya itu hanyalah cahaya spotlight. he he he..

anyway, I was in awe watching the speed and drifting cars.I was just the spectator and already felt the adrenaline rush, let alone the driver.

I thought they were about to collide (and I evilly, secretly wish they will, like the one on the hollywood action-packed movie) but no, they let me down ’cause they are the experts and handled the car very well. I don’t mind sitting in the passenger seat. Scary but I’m sure it’s lot of fun. heeeeee.

Somewhere nearby the drift place, there is a go-kart circuit for ppl to go-karting and  car boot sale with quite a number of  stalls.

I googled jongket, I got jongkang-jongket. Abah taught us the word jongket. Kata abah ‘asyik berjongket je!’ he he he

Home-made chicken stock

3kg chicken carcasses, cleaned and chopped

1 carrot, cut into big chunks

1 stick celery, roughly chopped

1 onion, sliced

2–3 stalks spring onions

2 bay leaves

1 tsp white peppercorns

3.5 litres water

Place chicken carcasses in a large stockpot. Add more than enough water to cover the ingredients. Bring to the boil, uncovered, over medium low heat.

Add carrot, celery, spring onions, onion, bay leaves and peppercorns. Gently simmer, uncovered for two hours. Use a slotted spoon to skim the surface of the stock every 30 minutes. Set aside to cool completely before straining the stock into a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate. Remove the layer of fat from stock surface. Freeze the stock if necessary.
