IMG_0347
Saying or expressing the words “i love you” to my father is something I rarely do right after I reached puberty (the transition years I would say..hehe) :p.

Say or not say, we love you so much Abah! no matter what.

You are reaching almost 60 and this makes me sad. sob! I wish to have you as Abah forever n ever.

You are always in our prayers. I pray hard you go to heaven. AMIN!

Thank you so much for everything.

To be fair and square, so that mama tak kecik hati in case terjumpa this entry since there is no tribute for her.. huhuhu.. I’d say

I love you too mama!

and you too, my husband!

and to those who want my love!
Spread the love….

Kami suka berjongket

Last few weeks me and husband, sometimes accompanied by my sis and bro asyik berjongket je (in english, jongket means hang out/wandering around) and we discovered a lot of new and interesting places. The places are not really new but they are new to us.

secretgardenThe secret garden, located at the rooftop (UR floor) of One Utama. Recommended to photographers who like to capture flowers and green stuff.

wallclimbing-oneUIndoor wall climbing gym. We all didn’t wear proper attire that day so didn’t get a chance to try it out.

I don’t have that strong stamina and I am sure  I’ll be out of breath in less than a minute if I did the climbing.

Pic taken from camp5. There is a similar gym in Putrajaya and I’ve been told it’s for the experts.

drift

Serdang Menjerit!!! (jerit ala-ala kl menjerit).  This is the drift place which is held at MARDI Serdang, every Sat 5pm till late nite.

Cahaya putih yang besar dan lagi bulat dan berterangan dan glaring dan bright itu bukan lah cahaya keimanan.. cahaya itu hanyalah cahaya spotlight. he he he..

anyway, I was in awe watching the speed and drifting cars.I was just the spectator and already felt the adrenaline rush, let alone the driver.

I thought they were about to collide (and I evilly, secretly wish they will, like the one on the hollywood action-packed movie) but no, they let me down ’cause they are the experts and handled the car very well. I don’t mind sitting in the passenger seat. Scary but I’m sure it’s lot of fun. heeeeee.

Somewhere nearby the drift place, there is a go-kart circuit for ppl to go-karting and  car boot sale with quite a number of  stalls.

I googled jongket, I got jongkang-jongket. Abah taught us the word jongket. Kata abah ‘asyik berjongket je!’ he he he

Home-made chicken stock

3kg chicken carcasses, cleaned and chopped

1 carrot, cut into big chunks

1 stick celery, roughly chopped

1 onion, sliced

2–3 stalks spring onions

2 bay leaves

1 tsp white peppercorns

3.5 litres water

Place chicken carcasses in a large stockpot. Add more than enough water to cover the ingredients. Bring to the boil, uncovered, over medium low heat.

Add carrot, celery, spring onions, onion, bay leaves and peppercorns. Gently simmer, uncovered for two hours. Use a slotted spoon to skim the surface of the stock every 30 minutes. Set aside to cool completely before straining the stock into a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate. Remove the layer of fat from stock surface. Freeze the stock if necessary.

honey is YUM-MY!

I am super afraid of bees. But I love the honey they produced.

I’ve always wanted something healthy and organic for my facial and body care. And I wanted it to be honey based because honey is sweet, it has antioxidants and antibacterial properties n goldish in color (huhuh, can this count? ).

But I didn’t find anything that is honey + chemical free + affordable.

It’s either too expensive or organic w/out honey and still expensive. I was very excited when Watsons introduced ‘Be Gorgeous’ product range.

begorgeous

But to my huge dismay the product is very limited only to body care, hair care and there is no facial care. I would love to try the facial but no, they don’t have.

So I decided to stay loyal with the Eucerin which I’ve been using for almost a year now until i found beauty and the bees.

The testimonials and the descriptions are SO convincing. – they use organics, non chemical substance, all herbs, organic plant that I feel I MUST TRY.

I have a very sensitive skin,so I thought why not I try something organic and chemical-free. Something that is not harsh and delicate products to my skin.

I am getting old by the way so trying something that is chemical free I HOPE could  help to slow down the aging process that is in progress now. huhuhuh.. iyolah tuu…

I read every product details displayed on the website. Feeling satisfied, I put 6 items in the cart. And the next day I got a call from the company to proceed for the payment.

Actually, I hesitated for a while for fear it is insecured. But I know somebody who already made the purchase and it was all safe.

2 weeks past (I opted for  the cheapest shipping ) and tadaaaa!

I just can’t wait to try and see the result. so far i love them very much especially the polishing scrub. It is made of some oatmeal, almond meal, organic flowers and herbs.

I like it so much as It’s not so refined and feel like putting real not-so-mushy oatmeal mixed with milk onto your face.  The smell…ummphhh..ahhhhhh… is so marvellous! I can’t wait for the next scrubbing session.

So far so good. Waiting for nxt month to see the effect of the product on my skin. Stay tuned!

If any of you interested,  I’d recommend the hair pack and honey pack.

It’s very cloudy.

It’s about to rain.

I might look I’m obsessed with work since my last post is also about work. NO, I am not. It’s seasonal. Trust me.

I am bored waiting for something.. so I ended up doing some artwork.

It’s Friday, 2 plus in the afternoon. I am still in my nightgown and flowery pink leggings.

This what happens if you work from home. And yes, I haven’t taken my bath. *blushing*

Soon!  HEHEHE!

KL city, lamb shoulder and lingonberry jam

Though KL is known for the hectic, fast paced and busy place, deep down of me I still love the city life. I love the tall buildings, love seeing people walking rapidly on the street wearing smart suits and especially the shopping malls and the luxurious 5 star hotels! Last week, I attended 3 days training in KL and I had so much fun getting away from the office, sitting in the 5 star hotel conference room, walking on the busy streets surrounded by shopping malls and eating 4 times daily, FREE hotel food! It was like a short holiday to me. I had so much fun.

Nothing extraordinary of below pictures. Just pictures of where I was of the 3 days away from office.

IMG_02945:30 pm sharp weekdays- time to go home. Later than that is considered not effective! Oh yes! I am very very effective now! :8).

I know they are just KLCC building and wash room of Ritz Carlton KL, but really couldn’t help myself from being such a BIG JAKUN-er. teehee! H.E.L.P M.E!

Okay. Now lets talk about food. Yes! It’s about lamb shoulders with lingonberry jam. Delicious! We like to eat lamb, very much! It’s a menu that we must have every week for our dinner. It’s so easy to cook lamb shoulder (I guess it’s a shoulder part, correct me if I am wrong). You can grill it on the grill pan or cook it on non stick pan or just throw it in the microwave oven and grill it for as long as you like (rare, medium rare or well done). Of course you need to marinate the lamb for better, delicious and satisfying taste. These are the basic things you need to marinate the lamb.

IMG_0298

Pepper, salt, olive oil, your favourite sauce and herbs – I use dry herbs as it lasts long and it’s a bit costly to buy and also hard to find fresh herbs. It’s a no problem if you want to omit the BBQ sauce. I am sure it still tastes delicious w/out it.

IMG_0299I know what you are thinking..

Yes, I, myself admit it has a hideous look :’( , but don’t judge the food by its look and the red paste is not sambal alrite? hahaha. It’s the lingonberry jam! The whole plate tasted really good. Next time I’ll try with strawberry jam and see how it’d taste. :D I recommend you to eat with green boiled broccoli or whateva vege you like for a balance and healthy meal. I didn’t have any vege in stock that night, so I prepared it with boiled potato. A dash of salt + pepper, the ikea creamy sauce on top and you are ready to eat. It’s quick and definitely delicious! AGAIN, it might not look tasty in the picture, but it did taste GOOD!
