Wohoo!!
Hello…testing2…edward cullen..edward cullen
Duh!
just a snippet from today’s article:
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians will have to pay more to watch Hollywood films in the cinemas if a proposal by the Malaysian Film Producers Association is accepted by the government.
The association wants the ticket price for Hollywood movies to be hiked to protect local feature films.
Its president, Ahmad Puad Onah, said the higher ticket prices was among proposals the association would submit to the National Film Development Corporation soon.
“Our members agree that only by hiking the admission price of Hollywood movies will Malaysians go to watch local movies.”
duh! what la buat statement macam ni.
You think by increasing price of hollywood movies will make m’sian watch local movie?? huhuhuhhehehehe.. no way.. i am waaayy disagree with the statement.
Why I disagree? It’s so simple.
increase la sampai 50 ringgit pun for hollywood movie, if all the local movie macam tu jugak (sket2 nangis sedu2, sedey, low quality blablabla- i dont have to say much because we all know how stereotype some of the local movies are..) i don’t think people would still want to watch local movie.
If some ppl are not going to watch the local movie anyway, increasing 20 ringgit is not a loss to the moviegoer..but it might be a loss for the cinema business because now younger generation are smart u know.. everything you can download, burn into dvds and walah! you can watch it from ur own tv screen at ur own cozy home.
Nowadays, there are so many english series that can be downloaded from internet
in a month, brapa sangat la movie yg ada kat m’sia ni. Download from internet belambak2 movie and series boleh tengok.U don’t have to wait for soo long to watch the local movie.local movie pun lepas brapa bulan je dah ada dekat astro.
People still watch thai, korean and japan movie even though they don’t understand what are the characters talking abt and just solely based on the subtitle je. we also have lots of indonesian movie fan. yusof haslam’s movies : sembilu and etc (ni cerita cintan kapak punya. I pun tak paham nape orang nak tengok.. huhuhu) but managed to collect juta2 ringgit.
Think and think hard why not many people watch local movies. people are wiser now and they choose wisely.
kalau local film decrease ticket to rm 5 i am sure a lot of people pegi cinema tengok local movie . it’s either they want to try out how it feels to be in the cinema (for the 1st timer) or just to hang out
and kill time.
PS: I am sorry if I offended any of you out there. It’s my web, it’s my blog and I have my own opinion.
